Babor {review}

I attended the Babor event at the One & Only a few weeks ago and thought it would be nice to share a little bit about the event and Babor as a brand. The event was very intimate because of this we were able to interact with eachother and ask questions which made it a very relaxed environment. We were able to touch and smell each product from Sun Care to Body Care.

ABOR – the German beauty pioneer. Founded by renowned biochemist Dr. Michael Babor in 1956, the company has been steadfastly focused on innovation and has established itself as a true pioneer in the field of professional skincare.

The BABOR Research and Innovation Centre has been transforming the secrets of nature into natural, high-tech products for over 55 years. These products combine nature and science to create synergetically optimised quality. The research department has been a pillar of the company since the very beginning, and has helped BABOR to establish a leading position amongst its international competitors.

Babor is a brand that is results driven and is only sold at exclusive salons. Some of their anti aging products retail up to R3000 and are known to be a ‘facelift’ in a jar.

In the goodie bag I received:

HY-ÖL + Phytoactive Base duo: These two products work hand in hand in cleansing, although the base is smaller in size the product is measured evenly to ensure they finish at the same time. The cleansing routine starts with the HY-ÖL which is a cleansing oil with not much of a scent, rub this gently into the skin once all you’ve stimulated the face a little its time to add a little bit of the Phytoactive Base which is a watery consistency that you add on top of the oil this is an extra step to detoxify and deep cleanse the skin. This duo is perfect for dry skin and works well as a make up removing routine. These two feel so luxurious to use and work so well leaving my skin feel clean without that squeaky feeling, clean but moisturised. If Babor is in your budget I would definitely recommend giving this duo a try.

Next up we have the SPF 15 Sun Spray now if you are anything like me as in SUPER lazy when it comes to SPF then this if your answer, a super lightweight easy anti-ageing sunscreen that you can spray and go – face and body.

Babor Deep Pore Cleansing Mask now this is a product that is just up my street – I love a good exfoliator and this one is just that with a subtle scrub but it’s mask as well two in one baby! I noticed a change in my black heads after using this product, especially around my nose – I have a nose ring on the right and because of that my pores get blocked quite easily so this deep pore cleanser really makes a difference, I have been using it once a week and can definitely notice a difference.

Last up we have the Lip Repair Balm ok let me get superficial with you HOW can you not love this shiny packaging it just looks fancy, imagine pulling this out of your handbag vs a regular chap stick? See what I mean its just a product that makes you feel like you’re ballin’ – if we move past all of that this lip balm has a thickish consistency but glides nicely on the lips and creates a protective barrier which helps during winter especially if you apply this at night.

Have you ever tried any Babor products if so any of these or any you’d recommend?
