OLAPLEX: blonde hair no care

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you will know that I am not afraid of a little hair bleaching, in fact I have even skunkafied my own hair once *rolls eyes* that of course was until Style Bar came into my life. Ever since the first time (which you can watch here) I have not looked back, there is something so precious having a few hours to yourself and stepping out with luscious bouncy locks, if it’s been a while since you’ve treated yourself do me a favour and make time for it!

Two sessions ago OLAPLEX walked into my life, a 3 step product that allows crazy bleach ladies like myself make their hair lighter without any extra damage or dryness, yes a miracle! Where this was when I first had bleach I don’t know – it can’t remove damage from the hair, it can only prevent further damage.

“Olaplex is a revolutionary new salon applied hair treatment that allows you to go bright, go bold, and have the hair you’ve always dreamed of. As chemical processes break down the bonds that are essential for healthy hair, Olaplex steps in to repair them before any damage is done. Get bolder and brighter colours from your next salon service without the worry or the risk of doing any damage to your hair.”

Step 1 – a formula that is mixed in with the bleach

Step 2 – a treatment that is put on the hair after the bleach has been rinsed out

Step 3 – an at home conditioner/treatment

The above is the whole Olaplex set then there is a salon version that skips Step 3, this is currently on special at Style Bar for R200 yes I know I basically jumped up and down and wished I had extra hair to dye!

Have you tried Olaplex? If you could dye your hair any colour what would you try? I saw these pictures on pinterest that I think are pretty cool:
