NAK Blondes review

It’s always a good day when you’re invited for a pamper session and no one does a better pamper than Style Bar. From the minute I got the invitation to the nak event I knew I was in for something beautiful! The invitation was floral and made out of plantable paper (it’s infused with seeds so you can plant it and it then grows! That’s why I can’t show it to you) it also came with shortbread to match the beautiful floral invitation, I gobbled that down so unfortunately I have no photographic evidence of that either!

So I off I went to Style Bar Constantia for an evening of pampering and learning about the new hair care brand nak and their Aromas range.

nak is an Australian hair care company that creates sulphate and paraben free products, vegan friendly and aren’t tested on animals. The Aromas range contain a blend of essential oils like lavender, geranium and argan oil. The range has been broken down into four ranges Blonde, Colour, Curl and Smooth – so there really is something for everyone with any hair type!

I got to test out the blonde shampoo and conditoner from the aromas range –

A luxurious blend of Argan Oil, Lavender, Patchouli and Geranium, dedicated to the well-being of natural blonde, highlighted, chemically lightened or grey hair. Neutralises unwanted brassy tones / tones / moisturises

Sometimes with purple shampoos and conditioners they leave your hair feeling crunchy and very dry, I have tried so many since I’ve had blonde tones in my hair. Some have also left my hair feeling sticky and not clean, but you’re left with a catch 22 because you have to use a purple combo once in a while especially if your hair beneath the dye is warm toned. I think this is where I was the most surprised with the nak aromas range it left my hair feeling clean, light and so soft this 100% has to do with the rich ingredients in the range.

I have said before that I have quite fine hair that is prone to greasy roots but it is also dyed which means that it has so many needs; clarifying for my scalp, moisturising for my ends and toning to remove the brassiness, this range ticks all of the above boxes and two more extra boxes, yes I know how can it get any better? The range is infused with protection from heat styling and prepares the hair for styling to reduce the time is takes to style the hair, on top of that the whole nak range smells amazing!

When the Style Bar team were given the opportunity to test nak before it hit the South African market, every stylist loved the product which I was told is quiet rare. I think thats when the team knew that nak would be a winner in the market and with that they really hit the nail on the head!

Nak also have a range for male grooming as well as a cool colour masque that tints your hair whilst moisturising, so cool!

Nak is available at Style Bar stores and online at Retail Box, you can view the range here. Which nak product would you like to try?
