skin creamery {review}

The Skin Creamery was founded by beauty expert, Hannah Rubin, in 2014. Hannah created The Skin Creamery around her desire and commitment to conscious and organic living. If you ever meet Hannah her passion for her brand permeates out of her, its her baby and that is so apparent – in every detail from the packaging to the website, everything so thought of from start to finish. Skin Creamery uses all locally sourced packaging and organic ingredients – each chosen for their healing qualities and ability to easily penetrate the skin.

I was introduced to The Skin Creamery at the Cape Town Hair and Beauty Show where I got a sneak peak at the Cleansing Facial Powder straight away I was so intrigued just from the demo on my hand I could feel a difference on my skin, albeit a difference I couldn’t explain until now…

Basically the Skin Creamery Cleansing Facial Powder (R240) is a duo daily exfoliating cleanser or a facemask (just mix some raw honey). Its like no other exfoliator I have ever tried it doesn’t have beads instead the granules are made of macadamia nut shell this is one of the reasons why it makes the skin feel so smooth.

As you can see above the powder is very fine although it packs a punch with its ingredients such as; Calcium Bentonite (to absorb excess oil without drying), Baobab Fruit Powder (High in Vitamin C for natrual collagen production) and Buchu (An anti-bacterial agent with many healing properties) To apply the Skin Creamery Cleansing Powder mix a small amount of powder with water to create a thin paste, massage the face in circular motions and rinse! Et voila the first ever non drying daily exfoliant.

Facial Hydrating Oil (R285) I’m pretty sure most people out there suffer with skin that is lacking hydration if not now more than ever with climate change and pollution, yes you can have combo skin that is dehydrated! This Skin Creamery product wins the show for me its so unique as you mix 2 drops of oil in wet hands and then massage until absorbed – the oil and water create are joined together to break down oil molecules which makes it smooth and melt into the skin; oils chosen specifically by their ability to penetrate the skin and nourish from within – baobab, jojoba and Kalahari melon seed oils. So smooth and weightless it really leaves the face feeling clean and soft.

All of the Skin Creamery offerings smell amazingly fresh, herbal and have a very aromatherapy scent which makes me personally relax when using them. If you have sensitive skin male or female I highly recommend trying their products out also remember a little goes a long way so you definitely get your cash money worth.

I loved that on the Skin Creamery website have this, I LOL’d:
