hey gorgeous natrual deo review #lovelocal

If you have followed my blog for a while you’ll know my quest for natural deodorant for my pits. The thing that I have found with natrual deodorants is after a while of using the same one they seem to become slightly less effective and its time for a switch up.

I have heard about Hey Gorgeous before and have followed them for years (they’re images and brand identity are amazing!) So I thought I’d give their all natural deo a try. This only comes in one scent, Summer Rose – I am usually not one for scented deo’s, I’d rather have no scent and then choose which perfume I’d like to use, but this scent is not too over powering at all.

The ingredients are all natural and include Shea Butter, Coconut Butter, Grapeseed Oil, Non-nano Particle Zinc Oxide, Bicarbonate of Soda & other all natural essential oils. It left me feeling fresh and no bad BO at all. The thing with natrual deo that puts people off is the fact that it doesn’t contain anti perspirant (stop you from sweating) but that is the ingredient that is so bad for your armpits as you should never stop or block your sweat glands, I go into this a little more in this post.

I have repurchased this Hey Gorgeous deodorant over and over it is definitely a firm favourite. The only downside is that it has to be purchased online which means there is a shipping fee which makes it become quite expensive. The deodorant itself is R85 and courier is R45 but there is a collection option in Constantia if that’s an option for you.

Have you tried anything from Hey Gorgeous or do you have any natural deodorant recommendations for me to try? The next Hey Gorgeous item on my list to try is their flax seed oil which apparently helps with Keratosis Pilaris (Chicken Skin). If you suffer from this you’ll know that its extremely difficult to get rid of completely. I for one have never found a product that works, I have tried prescription creams, moisturisers but these bumps are here to stay so if I can find a product to keep them at bay a little I’d be over the moon!
