ORLY breathable nail polish

I have shared many a mani tip over the years on the blog from my favourite at home manicure picks to the tools I use in my at home mani routine.

Let’s chat about ORLY breathable nail polish; what is breathable nail polish? ORLY’s Breathable Mini Treatment and colour  range offers breakthrough innovation and advanced oxygen technology that allows nails to breathe. Oxygen and hydration penetrate the nail, allowing the nails to stay moisturised. In addition, the breathable formula nourishes and strengthens nails with Argan Oil, Pro-vitamin B5 & Vitamin C so that they grow stronger. No base coat or top coat needed, the ORLY breathable nail polishes are an all-in-one longer lasting formula cuts manicure time in half!

The formula contains no DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor, TPP/TPHP, EHQ, Formaldehyde Resin, Parabens, Gluten or animal-derived ingredients.

I tried a of the mini ORLY breathable range (retails for R99 (5.3ml) each or R388 for a 4 piece Breathable Mini Kit, available online at www.indiGlow.co.za)

Of course I chose pastel, nude and pink shades and I am so happy with each one! The ORLY breathable nail polishes are easy to apply as the brushes are broad, they offer full coverage in just one coat and above all they last at least a full 8 days with no chipping! To be fair the only reason I removed the polish was because my nails had grown so much, this is a big feat for someone like me that picks and plays with my nails. Anyone who is or was a nail bitter will understand this, it’s important to have your nails as perfect as possible to avoid the picking and pulling of nail polish – ORLY nail polishes allow for this.

The above really makes sense as when ORLY tested the polishes the findings were that: 500 women said it “felt more like a treatment than a polish”. They also experienced less chipping and peeling and 99% said they saw a noticeable difference in the health and appearance of the nails. They felt their nails were stronger and healthier after using Breathable for one week and they experienced measurably faster nail growth.

WHITE – Barely There: This is the best white nail polish I have ever use, it was fully opaque in one coat and lasted 8 full days without turning a gross off white colour. A good white nail polish is hard to find as a lot of them can look really chalky or require so many coats to be fully opaque.

OPAQUE PINK – Pamper Me: Gosh another typical Cara shade the chalky opaque baby pink, this shade has been my go to for as long as I can remember. The perfect Summer toe shade a fully opaque baby pink very similar to the original Essie Fiji (the shade has become pinker over time and isn’t the same. This is a great dupe)

SHEER PINK – Kiss Me I’m Kind: I am such a sucker for a clear pink, I always refer to this shade as ‘French manicure pink’ you know that see through milky pink that woman who have their s&^% together have on their nails. It’s such a great pulled together colour and being part of ORLY’s range it only requires one coat. I often opt for this colour when my nails are shorter, I find it looks great on short manicured hands.

Have you ever tried ORLY nail polishes before?
