IMG_9871This is such an exciting post for me to write, why? Well mainly because I have been dreaming of having long hair for as long as I can remember. I have been growing it for so many years I can’t keep count any more, see I have fine hair that takes so long to grow and because its fine I choose not to layer it because that just makes the ends look so thin and well rats tail like.

I have never thought of trying extensions before to be honest I was always a little intimidated as it looked so complicated but I am here to tell you if I can do it so can you! I was sent the Ombré Toffee 20”, 160g clip in hair extensions from ClipinHair with an easy to use hanger to store them and a tangle teezer – which FYI is on buy 1 get 1 free special!

The set comes with 8 strips, for the entire head:

  • 1 x 20cm hair strip with 4 clips
  • 2 x 15cm hair strips with 3 clips
  • 3 x 10cm hair strips with 2 clips
  • 2 x 5cm hair strips with 1 clip

ClipinHair have so many easy to follow video tutorials but seeing as they’re based in Cape Town I decided to head on down to the office and get a little one on one tutorial because lets face it I pretty much am the worst with finicky things. The ladies showed me how to clip the strips in and how easy it is. All you need to remember is 4, 3, 2, 1 – start with the 4 clips at the bottom of your head move onto 3, 2 and finally 1. It’s also important to part your hair in a V shape this allows the hair to fall naturally.

Can we take a moment to talk about the colour match, this just blew me away! Also because the hair is 100% human hair its easy to straighten, curl and wash – its basically my new pet.

Since I’ve always got your back I have a discount code for you if you do get a set for yourself, use: carafay (R100 off)
