Elizabeth Arden Gelato Crush

Introducing the new offering from Elizabeth Arden – #GelatoCrush I mean hello can summer get any better? The range consists of a gel formula lipstick and lip liner that are an unstoppable, un-transferable duo.

Summer is all about two types of lip looks in my mind: super bold and bright matte lips as well as glossy sheer lips.

The Elizabeth Arden Gelato Crush range can actually offer both of these looks, if you’re looking for a bright matte lip then the lip liners are where it’s at with their easy glide on creamy formula and the added benefit of a silicone brush tip on the end to smooth the colour over the lips. The gelato crush lip liners can be worn or their own or in conjunction with the lipsticks over the top. Although there are some nude shades the range also boosts a few brights such as Poppy Pout, Flirty Fuschia and Cherry Up.

The Gelato Crush lipsticks are more like applying a moisturizing balm, their gel formula melts into the lips and leaves a sheer glossy finish and leaves the lips feeling cool and slightly plumped as well as very hydrated. Of course the lipsticks had to have some sort of innovation seeing as the lip liners have the silicone brush, the lipsticks have a sleek design where the entire lipstick is ‘hidden’ in the lid and to open it there is a slider – oh so sleek!

The Gelato Crush range consists of the following..

10 Lipstick Shades

5 Lipliner Shades

There is a really cool survey that was taken of 54 women ages 21-45:

  • 100% thought the lipstick was comfortable to wear and imparted a sheer finish
  • 98% thought lips felt smoother after application
  • 98% thought lips felt moisturized after application
  • 98% thought the lipstick instantly melted onto lips and had an ultra lightweight feel
  • 96% thought lips looks shiny
  • 85% thought lips look plump

My ultimate favourite of the entire range is lip colour in Natural Blush (middle shade) it’s a gorgeous brown toned nude that gives the lips a sophisticated sheen with just the right amount of colour pigment. The Gelato Crush range slots into a gap in my make up collection where I want a bit of a sheen with pigment but something that is easy and comfortable on the lips, something I can keep in my handbag as an easy go to option.
