#winning – coined by Charlie Sheen but should be re-appropriated by yours truly or in the words of DJ Khaled “all I do is win” {if you don’t know that song, where were you in 2010?} … you see I have always been someone who has the attitude that: a) someone HAS to win the lotto and b) you can’t win if you don’t enter, that being said I enter most competitions that interest me if the prize doesn’t interest me or isn’t something I would like to have then I won’t take the chance away from someone who truly wants the prize ya feel me?
Ok back on topic, 3 years ago Beauty Bulletin had a GHD competition that I entered and was determined to make the BEST video ever and give my mom the prize if I won because she has never owned a GHD and I could never afford to just buy her one (she had about 3 braun straighteners from clicks, 1 in use and 2 for back up. Yip the frizz struggle is real) loooooooooooooooooong story short I won with this rip off of old spice video:
and I gave the prize to my mom, we made this little thank you video:
Fast forward to 2014 and 15 Limited Edition GHD’s to giveaway I decided to enter again, after seeing my friend Hayley’s entry (VIEW IT HERE) I just knew that I had to come up with something verrrrrrrrrrrry different and so the idea using a Wes Anderson feel was born this was after many failed ideas and almost giving up! It then all came together when my boyfriend (you can view his work here: TAUNYANE) was roped into helping me bring the idea to life. With many crazy stares and hugs (what?!) on the road whilst filming and many many re-takes we created this winning video:
annnnnnnd this is what I won, the lovely Limited Edition Rose Gold GHD hair straightner:
BACK ROW L-R: marylebone (special effects), kings road (foil), trafalgar crescent (galaxy),
mayfair mews (fibre optic), bakers street, and kensington high street

One could say Christmas came early for me but seeing as I don’t celebrate Christmas or Hannukah, a happy and excited heart came early 🙂
