lifestyle wanderings

red red wine | chasing summer

I am holding onto every last minute of Summer that I can and that means going to as many outdoor things as possible from markets to festivals I even went to the Simon’s Town Museum basically when the weather is all gloomy and rainy and you can’t be bothered to get out of bed you will miss the warm sunshine – that’s where my outdoor wanderings come into play.

I love a good drive into the wine lands especially now being harvest season. One event that marks this is the annual Paarl OmmiBerg /Round the Rock Festival, which gives visitors a chance to taste the first of the 2015 vintage wines.

The fun part about this years festival is that they have made a dress theme now who isn’t partial to a good dress up op? AND on top of that Perdeberg Winery is offering a best-dressed/most originally dressed couple prize to the ones that encompass the theme of Red Red Wine … so let your imagination run wild with this one!

Your gorgeous judges will be two of my friendies Leigh-Ann from Fairleigh and Leana from Hip Styler Blog. They will be taking notes of everyone’s outfit secretly from 11:00 and 13:00 – then I imagine will be drinking some of that Red Red Wine!

The winners win a 3 litre bottle of red wine with a customised label showing the winners’ names, the date and a picture of their winning outfit. A bottle of this size will surely outshine any other trophy in the cabinet. Now that is what you would definitely call #winning

The Perdeberg wines will have a 15% discount (excludes “The Dry Land Collection” premium wines and Perdeberg MCC). Along with your ticket you will receive a free wine glass to enjoy your free wine tasting.**

For more information, ticket prices and the full line up of events, please visit

*only couples that are there at the time of the announcement (13.30) will be legible for the prize
** wine tasting and sale prohibited to persons under 18 years of age

If you do go please let me know and tag me in your pictures (@carafay_ – twitter & instagram) I’d love to see your interpretation of Red Red Wine!
