You know its a happy day when you come home to a goodie bag, nothing beats that excitement as I rip through the packaging, like a lady of course (not! more like a vulture!!) I have always been someone who loves presents, random ones sometimes I’d come home from school and there’d be a little something on my bed from my mom and I just loved that. So you can imagine how bubbly my heart was when I received goodies from my favourite nail brand – nails inc.
nails inc was born about 15 years ago by Thea Green a young British entrepreneur. Thea spotted a gap in the UK market for professional polishes of high quality so that women with little time could still have a professional manicure in minutes with an affordable price tag. One thing I absolutely love is that all the names are iconically British, true Patriotism and it just makes me want to visit there even more!
In my parcel was the ever popular hero shade (this is the best way to describe it – a HERO) porchester square a beautiful muted taupe colour with hints of lilac, I have had my eye on this shade since forever. I painted my nails THAT night, this colour is such a staple it goes with everything and looks so sophisticated yet trendy on. It stayed put on my nails for 5 days, yip you heard me FIVE whole days now for me that is a biggy after about 3 days im usually picking at the chipped polish and needing to get it off – you see this is where you truly learn about quantity over quality, if you have a tightish budget when it comes to nail polishes that’s ok – I have lots of chemist brand polishes in crazy colours but when it comes to the classic colours like a fire hydrin red, a neutral shade and a dark berry shade I would definitely recommend spending a little more and getting yourself a luxurious nails inc polish because you really will get every rand worth. Coats needed: 1 to 2
Next up I got the new Neon pink shade called notting hill gate this is a summer winner it is the perfect bright pink colour without being orangey its a true barbie neon pink colour and I just love it! Thisis one of those colours I can imagine on tanned/bronzed skin with my tootsies in the sand with the sea washing over them basically summer in a colour. To get an opaque, true colour this polish needs 3 to 4 coats but because it is a ‘thin’ consistency each coat dries so fast so no bubbles or bumps.
Have i convinced you to head on over to Edgars or an Edgars Red Square store yet? If so let me know which colour you are eyeing out 🙂 Give nails inc south africa a like on facebook here or twitter here to stay up-to-date with all new colour trends hitting the South African shore.
