Fly away with me – top destinations with Travelstart

There is no doubt that wanderlust consumes a huge part of life, I find myself staring at pictures of people’s travels in London, Marrakesh, Paris, Greece, New York gosh the list goes on and on before I know it I am there in my mind imagining Mandla and I discovering and experiencing those moments too.

There is something about travelling be it local or international it does something for the soul and mind, it’s as if it offers a refreshed outlook and a reset button. I think for this reason I would absolutely love the opportunity to live abroad for a few years just to be able to afford the opportunity to travel both financially as well as convenience – I mean a weekend away in Paris? YES PLEASE!

Today alongside Travelstart I am sharing the top 5 local and international flight routes of 2018.

Top 5 International Destinations:
· Harare (Zimbabwe)
· London (UK)
· Windhoek (Namibia)
· Mauritius
· New York City (U.S.A.)

London (psst there are direct flights from South Africa to Heathrow!) and New York City – yes please!! As most of you know I lived in Harare most of my life soooooo I’ll give that a pass this time although there are many beautiful spots to visit in and around the country, if you haven’t been I’d say it should be on your list, I mean can we take a moment for these beautiful images of Great Zimbabwe by Mandla

Top 4 Domestic Destinations:
· Cape Town
· Johannesburg
· Durban
· Port Elizabeth

Obviously Cape Town is at the top of the list, maybe I am bias but I really do think it is the best city in South Africa – we definitely wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the country. There are also so many places to visit for weekends away for example a 2 hour drive and you can be by the sea side (West Coast) or in the mountains (Klein Karoo). We are really spoilt for choice living in the Mother City! Durban is probably the next city I would choose to visit and actually wouldn’t mind living there, it’s so laid back and really beautiful.

Now that I have officially dug a very big wanderlust shaped hole for myself, pinning all the dream destinations for honeymoon next year to add to my vision board. If you’re in the market for some travelling be sure to have a look at the Travel Start birthday sale and get your travel on!

Where was the last place you visited? Mine – International, Perth Australia and Locally, Klein Karoo:
