As I mentioned in this post, highlighters are one of my most favourite make up item to purchase and today I thought I would share with you my most favourite affordable highlighters pssst they’re all Catrice, but I have picked up an LA Girl strobing powder that I think could make the cut so watch this space for a review on that.

Alright then lets get cracking! First up we have the Catrice High Glow (+- R180) highlighter boy oh boy was this a mission to get my hands on, its pretty much ALWAYS sold out! It is a gorgeous icey highlighter with a silver/cool undertone which makes a huge difference in my collection as most of the shades I gravitate to are champagne/gold highlight, but after swatching the tester in store I went on the hunt for this for a good few weeks. It lasts well on the skin and doesn’t have chunky glitter.

Left to Right: High Glow, Palette and Prêt-à-Lumière

Next up we have the Catrice Deluxe Glow (+- R90) this is the one stop shop highlighter trio you’ll ever need, there is a subtle everyday Champagney shade, a warm rose gold shade and a more bronzey highlight that can even double up as a bronzer. Being such a versatile palette this is an amazing travel make up item or if you’re not one for having a whole bunch of highlighters in your collection then this versatile baby is what you’re looking for. The shades aren’t overly pigmented but can be built up or applied with a wet brush for a more intense look, the also last well on the skin so you don’t need to reapply if you’re off somewhere after work..

Lastly I have the Catrice Prêt-à-Lumière Longlasting Eyeshadow (+- R90). I know this is not necessarily a highlighter BUT Taryn from What The Blog post this instagram that made me think of trying this not only as an under brow highlight but and an actual cheek highlight. Its super pigmented with the most gorgeous pinky champagne hue. Not only is it a gorgeous highlight it is also the most amazing eyeshadow, one of those put on and go shades.
